Travel By Air
The only closest Airport is in Srinagar. One needs to reach Anantnag from the airport buses or taxis and further drive to Achabal, Kokernag to reach Daksum. The distance from the Srinagar airport is about 106 kilometers.
By Rail
The nearest railway station is in Anantnag but the rail just plies to local areas which having national connectivity yet. Jammu Railway station (296 Km) and Udhampur railway stations are the better options. Furthermore, a train from Srinagar to Anantnag can also be boarded From the Anantnag railway station frequent taxis and buses ply on the route.
By Road
Daksum has smooth roads. The valley lies on the route of Sinthan Top which lies near Kokernag Springs after crossing Achabal Mughal Gardens. Distance from Srinagar is about 98 kilometers.

Daksum lies at an altitude of 2,438m and is situated at a distance of 40 km from Anantnag. and about 85 km from Srinagar. It lies on the trekking way to Kishtwar. The further trail from Daksum leads to Simthan top.
