Feed the mind good things.
In today’s high-tech world, we are bombarded with several happening every day. One second we are seeing someone being helped and the next second someone else may be bullied for no exact reason. We don’t know what will meet our eyes the moment we get into this virtual world. But the things we say don’t just simply fade off from our memory in a second or two. We remember them. Most of them if not all. It is known to us all that we think more about the negative events rather than the positive ones. Negative events have an everlasting impact on us.
We keep on trying to forget or suppress the bad event that we witnessed or that occurred with us. But things aren’t as simple as they seem to be and getting rid of a negative thought isn’t a cakewalk. Social Media is just one of the many places where we are in charge and have the say to see and support either the good and positive content or bad and negative. But who demarcates which one is positive and which one is negative?
Well, it is our mind. Our mind knows what is good for it and what isn’t. But the choice is ours. It is easy to get influenced by a negative event and keep on repeating it in the back of the mind for quite a long period. And it is alright as long as we recognize it and make efforts to ignore it for the next time. Positivity might seem overrated. But probably that’s how things work. We get into a spiral, a circle. It goes on repeating itself. Which spiral we sign up for makes all the difference.
Take this thing from me that our mind is the biggest friend and foe of us. Unknowingly we make it work either for us or against us. Remember that 21 days rule. Repeat a thing for 21 days continuously and after 21days it will be with you forever. Well, that’s training your mind to do a single thing but guess what a single pause and things go back to square one. So our mind can do things that we can only dream of. If we feed the things we love, care for, and desire, it will attract you towards those things only. It knows what to do, it is just we who find it hard to make a choice.
