The Universal Language

The world encompasses so many positive things in it, but kindness stands out of all. Wherever compassion thrives, it leads to the betterment of the concerned persons, has a ripple effect, and encapsulates all. It is kindness that forms the foundation of closely knitted societies.  The most beautiful thing about it is that it is understood by all and needs no translation. A single act of kindness, be it picking up a hurdle from the street or helping those in need, can make the world a better place to live. Those people who put the needs of others on the forefront and think empathetically about others are satiated at heart and have a content life. It is true that whatever we feed our mind, our body reacts to that, so if we all will come to terms and be a little kinder to others, we are not away from being the most satisfied being. I have experienced when the needs of others are met, be it a small amount of kindness shown toward others, the same gets reciprocated with a multiplier effect.

As everything is at our fingertips, and we feel no need for others, kindness recuperates what is missing in this digitalized society. Social platforms can bring distant things together create a safe and secure community for those who feel marginalized by the masses. The acts of kindness are innumerable, like listening to those in pain, spending quality time with older adults, sharing things with the underprivileged ones, smiling at a stranger, greeting those on the way to work, and much more.  Those who are always willing to walk an extra mile for others are the torch bearers of an egalitarian society. They are eager to give up their luxuries so that someone else can get two square meals a day and sleep with a full stomach.

Language without Boundaries :

Kindness becomes a part of life when we realize its importance and the remarkable role of exhibiting it. Sharing my experience, once I was outside my school, and there I saw a mother and her son picking up the spoiled apples from the fruit seller’s cart to get them for free. They sat in a corner and started to consume them. While looking at them, I wondered what will they eat and what will go to the bin. A bystander couldn’t resist, he got two flatbreads with some mashed chickpea for them. She handed them, they refused, She insisted, and they accepted with a smile. At that moment, the content I felt was beyond any explanation. Though my contribution was negligible, I beam with happiness due to an act of kindness of someone else. That proved we all have the capabilities to be a reason for someone’s good day. We can always try to brighten up the day of others rather than pushing them back to helplessness. Pitying and sympathizing are the two things that are least needed; if they are replaced by kindness, the very dignity of the person being helped will remain intact.

I feel it is incumbent on us to teach the kids from the very beginning the idea of kindness. If the proper education is imparted to the new buds, they would surely resonate the same. When one imagines being in someone else’s shoes, it is then when one realizes the struggles of others. What better than to have kindness in heart and a warm smile on lips while helping. We all want to instill the very concept of kindness in everyone. Slowly and steadily, we might bring a small change we want to see.  We, as a growing society, can provide means for making optimistic changes in the world. Though with small steps, once the fire of kindness kindles in one, it becomes hard to extinguish it. Lastly, if we want to progress and develop inclusively, one has to be kind towards everyone. Kindness has its aura, which has a lasting effect and serves as means to betterment.
