Fear of Failure
The world is pacing. There is constant race taking place. Cutthroat competition is a feature, and success is a goal. Failure is a setback for life. Well, that sums up the world of quality for you. The top layer of progenies is termed the cream of society. They are the torchbearers for one and all. One can’t tread any other path to be in the top-notch strata of society. Follow the trodden path and not the one which lays undisturbed. The path where the stamps of feet have eroded the fertile layer, and now the only bare surface is visible is the only one that can guide you. Keep up the work of mugging, scoring more, understanding less, questioning none, staying put, and pulling up the socks. That’s the recipe for securing a bright future.
In addition to these, there are countless ways, means, and strategies to be where everyone else dreams of being. But what about the opposite of it. Well, that is a forbidden area. Only those who are under the realm of success can speak a word or two of the same. But those who are entirely whirled in it and see no sign of coming out of it are better off by not uttering a word and staying mum.
Whenever someone is asked a question, one always hopes to hit the bull’s eye. The more accurate your answer, the more concentrated and hardworking lad you are assumed to be. But then does everyone think on similar lines, a big NO. We all take the world in a different form. A question may be naïve enough for some, while for someone else, it might be head-scratching. But where we fail as a society is when we appreciate and applaud the correct answer but don’t lend an ear to the incorrect one. One may often fail to convey the right words but maybe having the right idea in mind is not enough. We shouldn’t appreciate one with the wrong notion, but reprimanding isn’t going to help either. This approach to any deviation from the right path set by society needs to have a second look. The mistakes should act as learning blocks and not as hindering stones. Our failures should train us for life as a whole and shouldn’t put us in a state of despair. To all who fail, yes, you and I and everyone reading this, we all fail, mess up, make things worst, create problems, come up with the most eccentric solution; we all do so. But then learning by doing is the mantra. As long as one gets up again, corrects the mistakes, and keeps a gentle and warm approach towards the other person who might make a mistake under their vigilance, we are repairing the loopholes and helping to evade the fear of failure. We all need to fail because it may or may not be the same route for all in terms of success, but undoubtedly failure strikes the same cord for one and all.
